- Add fuel treatment to the gas and cycle the treated gas through the engine. This prevents gas from going bad, absorbing water, or causing fuel system problems while in storage.
- Drain the water out of the engine to prevent water from freezing and cracking the engine block.
- Spray fogging oil into the engine to lubricate the internal components to keep them from rusting.
- Drain the freshwater system (if applicable) and put non-toxic antifreeze into the tank and cycle through the system. This prevents any of the freshwater components from being damaged from freezing water.
